The Shrinking TBR Pile

While my TBR (To Be Read) Pile usually rivals the Empire State Building, it now resembles a one-story house. Why? I've limited my book purchases in an effort to catch up. Also, some of the books on my Kindle put me to sleep faster than a hot beverage before bed.

I'm getting a bit desperate for some great books. So, my blogger buddies, what books would you recommend for me? My favorite genres are suspense, mystery, and historical romance.

Thanks!

Susan: Have you ever read Tracie Peterson? What about Terri Blackstock, I enjoyed her Newpointe 9-1-1 series.Sue Grafton has her Kinsey Malone series as well as her Alphabet series. There's Tess Gerritsen and her Rizzoli and Isles series. In case you didn't know, I used to work in a library and worked circulation. I had to read books in order to be able to help the customers with what was new and what was good. OH, one more author, Nicolas Sparks writes stories that are based on his and his wife's family.

I just finished reading 'Chasing Francis' by Ian Morgan Cron. Very well written. it's about this American pastor who has a burn out and ends up going to Italy where he learns interesting lessons from the life of Francis of Assissi. I found it an excellent book, one of the best ones I have read in years.
