We all need each other, and writers are no exception. The newbie wordsmith is as delicate as a seedling, and needs much nurturing and support.
The first person, who encouraged me to embark on this journey was my late husband, David.
When I lacked confidence, he said, "you can do it."
When shyness made me want to hide, he said, "go, meet others who write."
When I experienced success, he rejoiced with me.

Hi Susan .. the other bloggers they're so supportive ... have a lovely weekend .. cheers Hilary
The writing community in general has been so supportive. Early supporters would include my husband, Nancy Plent, and MaryAnn Diorio. Next on the list would be this debut author by the name of Susan J. Reinhardt. Perhaps you've heard of her? :)
Hi Hilary - So nice to see you! I hope you're enjoying your blogging break and getting a lot accomplished.
Hi Karen - The pleasure is all mine. :)
Like you, Susan... it's my husband who pushes me into the big scary world with words of encouragement and love. xx
Hi Dotti -
It's so affirming when the people you love are supportive.
I have a friend who was my secretary for years... a writer herself, although not with published fiction. She was my early mentor and is still my biggest supporter. One of my daughters is also a writer and is always right there with help and positive reinforcement, but the rest of my family is great, too. And I am very appreciative of the support and encouragement of so many of my online friends, like you Susan, and Keli Gwyn, Joylene Butler, Jody Hedlund, Judith Robl... so many! The writing community is terrific!
We all need someone to encourage us Susan, wonderful if your late husband was the one to motivate you! I have some friends who are always excited for me, my personal fan club so to speak, that really helps :)
Hi Carol - I'm glad you consider me part of your support system. I try to post things that will benefit both writers and readers.
Hi Marja - Many of us seem to have a core group of supporters. It's not an easy road, but so worthwhile.
