Friday Round-Up - #85

Take this FREE quiz to see if you're a Type A personality. It's also helpful if one of your characters is a Type A. You can see what personality traits/behaviors they should exhibit.

Mollie Noble Bull, at Writers Rest, gives a lesson in Marketing Your Novel - 101.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Hi Karen -

We're expecting a major storm later today. We might be snowed in Saturday.

Hi Kristen -

I explored the quiz site as part of my research. The MC in my third manuscript is a Type A personality.

Blessings,
Susan :)

More good tips! Thanks, Susan!!
I appreciated your comment over @ my blog - thank you for sharing a godly pattern to follow: pray, do what we can do, leave the rest in God's hands. I'm going to review this often!! God bless you abundantly!

Hi Jess -

I didn't think I was either, but found some of the qualities applied to me.

That was a fun quiz. I scored somewhere in the middle. On quizzes, I generally go across several categories with one a bit dominant. I was closer to B than A.

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Patti -

Whether you're a Type A or a Type B doesn't matter. It gives you insight into your personality and how to work with it (and pray about it).

I'm with you on the chocolate. :)

Blessings,
Susan

Oh, my. I scored just a 14.

Stay safe and warm if that snowstorm hits!

Hi Nancy -

I'm the same way. Guess we're too complex to be put in a box. :)

Blessings,
Susan

Hi Jean -

Aren't these quizzes fun? I enjoy taking them.

It hasn't started snowing here yet, but they said between 6 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. :)

Blessings,
Susan

I know "type" is all about one's predominant style, but I must say I'm decidedly ON MY WAY from Type A to Type B ... or possibly a Type G (rather unique, huh?).

I've learned over the years (mostly the hard way), that intensity and aggression almost always accompany A. They may not be entirely bad characteristics, depending n their intent/uses. But for me, they always spelled "control freak".

God's best to you & yours,
Kathleen

Hi Kathleen -

No matter what type we are, as believers we're being transformed into His image. I want to be like Him.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hey Susan, I took the test and I am a 73. Apparently I am mostly type A with a few Type B characteristics to stop me from killin' myself or dying from stroke or heart attack. :D Good idea to use these tests for characters.

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Denise -

I could use some of the high energy of a Type A. The test pointed out characteristics I might not have recognized as Type A behavior.

My latest MC is a Type A, but I'll see what I can do to mellow her out a bit.

Blessings,
Susan :)
