Captchas prevent SPAM, a form of advertisement. Yet, they present difficulties for those with sight problems. They're also an annoyance, and discourage comments.
So, by popular demand, I'm turning off the CAPTCHAS. Instead, I'll be moderating comments. I hope you'll be patient because they won't show up on the blog for hours. My schedule is unbelievably tight, but I promise I'll do my best to get them posted as quickly as possible.
Thanks for your feedback on the subject. I hope this change will make it easier for you to participate in the discussion.

Yes! I can't stand Captchas. It does make a big difference as to if I will leave a comment on a blog's page or not. They're really difficult if you're trying to leave a comment while you're mobile.
Hi Susan .. guilty of the request - so am pleased you've taken captchas off ...
Yes - they do ..
But no worries I'm happy to have my comment show - when you can clock in ... as and when ..
Cheers Hilary
I don't care for captchas, but I will still comment on a blog. I don't have too many problems with spam on my blog, but I don't allow anonymous comments on my blog. Maybe that's why?
Happy Labor Day! :)
I agree, I hate captchas. I have to be determined to leave a comment on a post to go thru the captcha thing to do it.
Have you had a lot of trouble with spam comments?
They're a nuisance, and I turned them off pretty quickly once my new website was up and running. It's much easier for commenters. And that's what we want!
I don't mind captchas, but I know a lot of people do, so I've turned them off on my blog. Had a big problem with spam for a while but once I disallowed anonymous comments, that was taken care of.
I hate those word captchas. Some are impossible to decipher. I've seen others where you solve a very simple addition problem. That, I can deal with, if I have to.
