Alphabet Fun

My friends, Jeanette Levellie, Diane Estrella, and Nancy inspired me to share a little about myself. If you want to do this exercise, jump right in either on your blog or a short version in the comments.

A. Age. Older than 20, but younger than 80.

B. Baked Goods. Chocolate Chip cookies and brownies.

C. Chore you hate. Cleaning my kitchen floor. Because of the design, I have to get down on my hands and knees.

D. Dogs. I like them, but they're too much work. I prefer cats.

E. Essential start to your day. Bible reading, journaling, and prayer.

F. Favorite color: Purple. (Jeanette can verify this.)

G. Gold or silver. I like gold, but silver is nice.

H. Height: 5' 6" I've shrunk a bit. With the longevity in my family, I could end up petite.

I.  Instruments you play. I took piano as a kid, but hated it.

J.  Job. Administrative Assistant. I love the work, the people, and the company.

K. Kids. Two grown stepsons and a daughter-in-law.

L.  Live. East Coast, USA

M. Mother. Still with me, Praise God!

N.  Nickname. Suze (pronounced Sooz, but sometimes Susie)

O.  Overnight hospital stay. Two that I'd prefer to forget.

P.  Pet peeve. People who don't clean up after their dogs.

Q. Quote. John 10:10. Yes, you'll have to look it up!

R.  Right or left. Right.

S.  Siblings. I'm the Lone Ranger (my Dad's words), but I have an honorary sister.

T.  Time you wake up. I wake up several times during the night, but I get up at 6:15 A.M.

U.  University you attended. The School of Hard Knocks (again, according to my Dad). I did graduate from Bible School and spent an additonal year at a second Bible School.

V.  Vegetable you dislike. Brussels Sprouts and asparagus. However, I do like broccoli.

W.  What makes you late? Digging my car out after a snowstorm.

X.  X-rays. It's a wonder I don't glow in the dark.

Y.  Yummy food. Spaghetti and meatballs with salad, black olives, and garlic bread.

Z.  Zoo animal favorite. Giraffe. I always remember my cousin's 2-year-old pointing to the markings and saying, "Boo-boo?"

Were you surprised by any of my answers?

Giraffes are my favorite too! What a fun post today, Susan! I love how you start your mornings. There's nothing better than that.

Hi Susan,
This was a fun exercise and a way to get to know you more personally. It is almost 5:30 a.m. and now, I am craving spaghetti :)

Would you believe I love brownies & asparagus? Yep, both are A okay in my book.

Fun list!

I'm surprised that you get up so early, but I can easily understand that. It's great that you went to two Bible schools. That must have been a wonderful experience.

This is a fun exercise! I may have to give it a try. I knew or suspected much of this - I'm with you on the brussel sprouts and asparagus. This is why we work so well together. :)

What a fun post, Susan! I hear you about Gold over silver. :)

Have a great week!

Fun, Susan! I love your age answer. That was pretty clever. :)

Hi Katie - I've always had a soft spot for giraffes. Maybe I related to them because I was awkward as a kid. :)

Hi Linda - Ohhh, sorry about that. Mom and I are having spaghetti and meatballs tonight. Yum.

Hi Wendy - I know plenty of people who like asparagus. I'll stick with the brownies. We can have a virtual dessert together.

Hi Hilary - Uh-oh, I guess I let the cat out of the bag with the nickname thing. LOL!

Hi Nancy - I'm working now, so I need to be up and about. I also like to jump on the computer to get my Swagbucks and check email (after devotions, of course).

Hi Karen - LOL! You mean there's stuff your don't know about me after all this time?

Susan :)

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Melanie - Gold seems dressier to me than silver.

Hi Sarah - I'm not putting that answer up on the Internet! Thanks for steering me to Krista's blog earlier.

Hey everyone, Krista's got news. Her link is on my blogroll. :)

Love your list, Susan (Sooz!)! I'm going to look up that verse in John, and I hate brussel sprouts too!

I feel you are a neat person. This list causes me to believe you are.

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Marja - I'm glad you enjoyed the post. I had fun doing it.

Hi Jill - Whenever I asked my parents the meaning of a word, I was told to go look it up. I guess that's where I got the "look it up" thing. :)

Hi Quiet Spirit - Aww, thanks!

Hi, Susan:
I love this survey in ABC format. I may just answer these questions myself for my next post. Very fun to read and a quick way to get to know you better. ;-)

Be well!

I love "E." "H" made me laugh, and "J" made me happy! So glad for you.

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Diane - No way am I going to put my age on the Net! I figured that range was safe.

Hi Rhonda - LOL! Now, I have to go back and check those out.

What fun to gather a few more insights into what makes you you. I can't say that any one response surprised me, but I can say it was delightful to again witness your wit. Anyone who likes chocolate & giraffes is just plain good people!

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Kathleen -

Aww, thanks. I have a wooden keychain with giraffe carvings. I purchased it from an African student when I was in Bible School.
