Friday Round-Up - #32

Although the Christmas decorations are packed away until next year, maybe you still have some gift money burning a hole in your pocket. I came across a website offering merchandise designed especially for writers. Check out the typewriter key jewelry, moleskin journals, and Writer's Survival Kit. My personal favorites: The "Will Write For Chocolate Collection." Hmm, my birthday is coming soon. Maybe I should leave this post where my family can spot it.

A couple of months ago, I signed up for C. J. Darlington's, "TitleTrakk," newsletter. She features news about books, music, blogs, etc. and runs contests.

Have you seen those chocolate fountains at parties, bridal showers, etc.? Well, you don't have to rush out and purchase one to enjoy the taste of chocolate-covered fruit or pretzels. One ounce of chocolate in a small, microwave-safe dish is all you need. Microwave on high for 45 seconds. Stir. It may not look melted, but it is. Careful - don't scorch the chocolate. My favorites: chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels. Yummy!

I think the chocolate fountains are pretty, but seriously, who needs to BUY one? Really, how many times in a year will you use it? LOL!

Have a brilliant weekend and thank you for your comments on my post. I'm pretty numb about the entire issue now. It's only been entire life.

Hi Annie -

I know people who have bought one. They probably throw a lot of parties. They're nice, but who needs one more thing to store?

If you ever need a friend, feel free to email privately. I'm praying for you.

Susan :)

Wow, I want to check out that writer store! Sounds great. :-) And I don't need a chocolate fountain, not when my cupboards are overflowing already! Hehee

Hi Jessica -

I've seen some products for writers, but this one had quite a selection. With all the creative types out there, you'd think more would be available.

Writer...Interrupted has some T-shirts and mugs. You might want to check them out. (Gina Conroy)

We're still working on all the chocolate from Christmas. I'll enjoy the chocolate fountains at Bridal Showers and other parties.

I wanted to pop over and say hello as I saw your comments to some of Jessica's questions and loved them!

Hi Terri -

I'm so glad you stopped by! Currently, I'm posting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Thanks for your kind words. Any friend of Jessica's is a friend of mine. :)

I'm beginning to suspect you like chocolate more than I do. Until now, I didn't think that was possible!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Sarah -

You might be right. Some of my fondest food memories are (not necessarily in order of importance):

Chocolate milk - good for dunking
Melody Cookies (no longer being
made - please Nabisco bring 'em back)
Chocolate ice cream on a hot summer day
Chocolate cupcakes - Hostess with the squiggles on the icing
Chocolate cake
Chocolate bunnies
M & M's
Homemade brownies

Hmm, do any of you have special chocolate memories?

Susan :)

Anything involving chocolate is a special memory for me. :)

My mom sends me a box of Godiva chocolates every year on my birthday. I'm already counting down the days until May 14. Eating Godiva always makes for a fond memory!

My favorite chocolate, though, is a tie between plain M & M's and Dove Promises (with the little messages on the wrapper). Great stuff!

Hi Sarah -

How right you are! I'm also getting a taste for Lindt Chocolate Truffles and Ghirardelli Squares. Yummy.
