An orthopaedic surgeon developed this little test.
1. While sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.
Is there an answer to this little test? Or is it true you can't outsmart your right foot? There is, but you have to think outside the box. Let's see if anyone comes up with the answer. :) Check for the answer in tomorrow's post.

OH NO! LOL I'm horrible at coordination. This is a test I will fail. :-) Very interesting though, and I bet a few people can outsmart their bodies.
It works! And why does it? I will check back!
Exactly, I can't outsmart my right foot. Amazing how the body works.
I had to try this. After four attempts I was actually able to draw the six without my foot changing directions. This really reminds me of trying to rub your stomach and pat your head. My guess is that this has something to do with the way God wired our brains to work. I'm going to have to have my husband try this when he gets home from work tonight! :)
Hi Jennifer -
I had such fun with this. It's a real brain teaser. Tune in tomorrow for the solution.
Blessings,
Susan :)
Hi Terri -
Hint: It has nothing to do with where you're seated.
Blessings,
Susan :)
Hey Jess -
If it's any consolation, I'm not very coordinated either. And I didn't figure out how to outsmart my right foot. Two co-workers found the solution - in about 10 seconds. Argh!
Blessings,
Susan :)
Hey!!!
I think I just figured it out. Draw the six from the bottom up! LOL Is that right? *laughing, because this was fun*
Hi Stina Rose -
Sorry this comment got moderated so late. It never showed up in my email inbox.
How did you manage to keep your foot from changing direction? Jessica ended up with the correct solution. Did you use her method?
Blessings,
Susan :)
Hi Jess -
Congratulations! You got it right. At least you solved it yourself, which is more than I can say. LOL!
Blessings,
Susan :)
