Burn-out is probably hard to avoid, from what I understand most people recognize it once they are right in the middle of a burn-out. I enjoyed that piece by Kristi Holl, basic but true. Personally I must learn not to start new projects when the previous one isn't finished yet :)

Yes, it's easy to get caught up in the initial excitement of a new project, but we can get overwhelmed if we take on too much.
