Friday Round-Up - #171

Authorhaven posted a video of Ray Bradbury talking about persistence in writing. It's a little under three minutes.

If you have an example of how persistence paid off in your writing life, I'd love to hear about it.

I feel kind of dumb, not knowing who Ray Bradbury is... but I get the essence of his story: keep doing what you do and write form your heart!
Thanks Susan, have an enjoyable weekend!

Hi Marja -

I didn't know who he was either. I figured if he was on Authorhaven he was probably an author!

In any event, I enjoyed the video and wanted to pass it along.

Hi Wendy - Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Blessings,
Susan :)

That was a very good video. I enjoyed it so much. When I was working so hard on short stories, anything I got published at all would have been enough to carry me on to more published work. It didn't happen, but I kept going hard for a very long time.

Persistence is all I know. I rarely had anything given to me and had to fight and earn everything I have, except for my salvation of course. So persistence is just a way of life for me. I don;t know anything else.

Hi Stephen -

You're living proof that persistence pays off. :)
