Friday Round-Up - #210

Kay Strom talks about inventing new cliches.

Have you coined any new cliches? Can you give an example of a catchy phrase that grates on your nerves? Let's have some fun with this. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

The only thing I can think of is "Must see T.V." That was out some time ago. Most of the shows they were talking about,I wouldn't waste my time on. It was just the "must" part that had me wanting to over-react. I doubt if there is much on television that couldn't be overlooked and a better activity put in its place.

There's one that gets to me once in a while, the Rally's fast food chain's commercials that say, "Ya Gotta Eat!" Can't say that I'm crazy about the Geico Gecko either. :)

Happy weekend,
Karen

Hi Nancy - I hardly watch TV at all. What they portray as family makes me shudder.

Hi Karen - We don't have a Rally's chain here. I don't like the Geico Gecko either. Oh, and have you seen the latest ads for Pringle's? Totally annoying.

Blessings,
Susan

Haha, making up new cliche's... love that idea Susan. I don't watch tv either, so I guess I am way behind on the latest popular sayings, but I like your challenge... can I make one up?

Hi Susan. I get a kick out of medications advertised on tv, with a p.s. of don't take if you have liver problems, known to cause some suicides, can cause bleeding, severe headache, blah blah blah. Makes you wonder why ANYONE would take them. Ever.

Thanks for your visit to my blog. Was so happy to see you stopped by. Susan
