How are you doing with your New Year's Resolutions or goals?
Becca, at the Bookshelf Muse, talks about creating unforgettable settings. Don't miss her last paragraph about seeing the setting through the Point of View character's eyes.
Have a blessed weekend!

Oh man, I think mine was to drink more water. I've increased my water intake some, but not nearly enough.

Hi Wendy -
I guess this is a good reminder. :)
Blessings,
Susan
So far so good. I'm determined to face my fears and speak and write more. I joined toastmasters....was asked to speak to a woman's group end of March and said yes...and won a short story contest hosted by world vision and tyndale college.
Talking about your first blogger, I think that when I am writing a book, I want to and I do lose track of time. The problem is, I still have to set up the time and in a way, I still "have to" because I have determined to do it. It is when I sit down and move in that "I want to" and calling me away early would be very annoying.
Hi Sarah -
Wow! Your year is off to a fabulous start.
Blessings,
Susan :)
Hi Nancy -
I understand how hard it is to make time, sit down, and write. Once I start, I'm fine. I guess it boils down to making a quality decision.
Blessings,
Susan :)
I don't make resolutions, but if I had I probably would have broken them by now :-)
Point of View is always fun to explore. I enjoy getting into characters' heads and seeing what's going on in there.
Blessings.

Hi Jean -
I set goals rather than make resolutions, but they still require attention. :)
Any time I analyze a character's motivations, emotions, and actions the exercise becomes a learning experience.
Blessings,
Susan
