Happy 2nd Blogoversary

Happy Blogoversary month is officially here! Rather than make this 2nd Blogoversary about the blog, I'm making it all about you, my readers.

Starting Wednesday, May 5, 2010, I'll be doing a book giveaway every week for the entire month. Who knows? I might even throw in an extra here and there.

I'm curious. What do you think of giveaways? Do you enjoy them? Are you tired of them? Are you ready to cry, "uncle," because you need a ladder to reach the top of your TBR pile? Or are you thrilled when you get a, "You Won!," email?

Oh, I love giveaways! And can we ever have too many books? I'm still waiting for that first, "you won" e-mail, but a girl can dream...

Actually, I'm getting ready to have my own giveaway. It will be on both blogs. Stay tuned.

About your comment... Knowing that procrastination causes the big dark cloud hanging overhead does not motivate me. I am however motivated to get back to work... just waiting on that little boy to settle into a schedule.

Hi Lily -

Maybe this will be the month you get a, "you won," email. I enter a lot of giveaways, but I also read a lot of blogs.

I'll be on the lookout for your giveaways. It's nice to see you back in the blogosphere. :)

Blessings,
Susan

Hi Jess -

Thanks for the good wishes.

LOL! I get overwhelmed with the reading when I've committed to do a review by a certain date. I'm working on two books right now.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Happy Blogoversary!

I love giveaways! Particularly book giveaways. It has really given me exposure to new books and authors I might not have noticed or picked up before hand. I have found some wonderful books that way :)

Happy Blogoversary! You have a wonderful blog, Susan. You are also an inspiration and source of moral support and great info.

I love blog giveaways, and I don't mind if my TBR pile gets tall. It's fun knowing there are so many goodies waiting in the wings to be read.

Blessings and hugs,
Karen

Hi Cindy -

I agree with you. It's a wonderful way to explore new genres and find authors. For me, I've been blessed because unemployment makes it difficult to spend much on books.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hi Karen -

Thank you. It brings me great joy to bless others.

Like you, I don't mind if my TBR pile gets ridiculous. In fact, if it dwindles too much, I start scouring local thrift shops, yard sales, bookstores, and Amazon.

Hugs,
Susan :)

Happy Anniversary, Susan!!

I love giveaways. With a small book buying budget it's very exciting when I win, and then I review them on my blog. So I'm not tired of them:)
Thanks

Congrats on the anniversary! I love to win almost as much as I love to host giveaways.....

BTW Just finished "Perfecting Kate" and loved it. Definitely my type of book. Any other recommendations?

Susan, giveaways are always a blessing. It is also a great tool to keep others inspired to write and to keep in touch with what you write. :)

Though I am new to your blog I look forward to the reading, the lessons learned and challenges I may come across along the way.

Keep writing, and best wishes with the two books your are working on now.

God bless and keep you,
Sonia

WOO HOO!!! I think book giveaways are fun!!! :)

Hi Kristen -

I know what you mean about a tight budget. Have you considered reviewing for some of the publishers like Thomas Nelson, Bethany House, and Multnomah?

Blessings,
Susan :)

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Sonia -

Welcome to my blog! I post here on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It's going to be an exciting month, so I hope you'll stop by often. :)

Blessings,
Susan

Me too! Even if I don't win, I know the winners are excited.

Hi Terri -

Thanks! Is it my imagination or does the second year go faster than the first year?

LOL! Maybe I'm just getting older.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hi Diane -

My mother finished "Perfecting Kate" the other day and enjoyed it. I've read Tamera's book, "Leaving North Carolina." Check in on Wednesdays for more book recommendations. :)

Susan

Hi Jan -

So far, everyone here likes giveaways. I'd come across a couple of negative blog posts in my travels and thought it was a good question.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hi Susan,
I love giveaways...especially since I just got a You Won email yesterday. I feel like a terrible writer, tho, because I had to read quite a few comments before I realized that TBR pile meant To Be Read and then I realized I don't have one! I guess I need to enter more giveaways so I can get a TBR pile! Or maybe I should look into one of those review jobs you referred to.
Have a great week,
Carol

I really like giveaways! I haven't won anything so far, but it is still fun to play. And they draw me to reading blogs with informative contents

And 2 years, for you! What a great way celebrate.

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Carol -

Your books went out in the mail today. You should have them by the end of the week.

I'm sorry. I forget not everyone understands abbreviations like TBR.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hi Lynn -

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Keep entering, and one of these days you'll win. Who knows, with all the giveaways here this month, it might be soon. :)

How are you doing with Swagbucks? Any questions, feel free to email me.

Blessings,
Susan

Wow! I don't know if I'll ever clear out my TBR pile! I get down to five and have to replenish. Right now, I have a lot, but I also read a book per week.

Have a great new year on your blog and happy second blogoversary. I'm glad I'm at the end of the list and I don't mean to be negative at all. I love giveaways - for other people. I am so new to all of this, that I'm not sure what to do if you win. Once, I won something and the postage was more than the gift. So I'm a bit leary. I love to see everyone else having so much fun. I'm content to just blog away and not win. A kind and thoughtful comment is such a gift to me that it beats everything else.

Susan J. Reinhardt said...

Hi Nancy -

None of the giveaways I've won on blogs has ever charged me for postage or anything else.

Let me reassure you. With my drawings, I pay the postage. A gift isn't a gift if you have to pay.

I hope you'll join in the fun and enter my drawings this month. Any questions, be sure to contact me.

Blessings,
Susan :)

The second year actually went faster than the first year. I guess I'm on a roll. :)
