Friday Round-Up - #15

I received an email from Tekeme Studios directing me to their blog. They've announced the winners of their Authentic Parenting Contest (Mary DeMuth). Unfortunately, none of us won. The good news is they're giving a discount on a blog or website design. In order to take advantage of the offer, you must contact them within 7 days. http://tekemestudios.blogspot.com

A prayer request touched my heart. Please pray for Cindy and Gary Hogan. A short time ago, doctors diagnosed her with Stage 4 cervical cancer. They have a 5-year-old son, Michael. Gary is serving our country in Iraq. This family is in crisis, and they're asking Christians to stand with them in prayer for Cindy's healing. Thanks.

Thanks to my friend, Jessica, for pointing me to The Seekers blog. http://seekerville.blogspot.com

It's chilly this morning. As I shrugged into my sweater, I thought of all our friends at the AFCW Conference in Minneapolis. If it's cold here, I can imagine what the temperature is in that northern state. I hope they packed some warm clothes and a jacket.

Have a great weekend!

I'm sorry to hear about your friends. I'll remember to keep Cindy and Gary in my prayers.

It's cold here, too. I like it because it reminds me of fall in my hometown. Ahh, memories...

Hi Sarah -

I don't know Cindy and Gary personally. A mutual friend sent this request. It always hurts when I hear of a young mother fighting a life-threatening disease. Thanks for your prayers.

While I enjoy sweater weather, I don't want it to get cold too soon. The longer I can hold off turning the heat on the better.

Have a great weekend!

Blessings,
Susan :)

Wow, what a horrible situation for your friends. I will definitely keep them in my prayers.

Hi Jessica -

I was over at your blog a few minutes ago and checking your links. Fancy that! I went to the link to find out the identity of Miss Snark. Perhaps I'm a bit dense, but I couldn't figure it out. Any chance you could enlighten me?

Glad you enjoyed The Seekers. I've got them on my Favorites now.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hey Susan,
It actually wasn't spelled out, per se, but I think Miss Snark is Janet Reid.
Miss Snark was anonymous agent who blogged for a few years. You can find a link to her site on the sidebar of my blog.
I read through all her blogs because they're funny and incredibly informative about publishing and writing. Word of warning. She's sarcastic and not CBA. But I love the blog and found it after she'd already left. You're probably knowledgeable about the biz, but if you're curious definitely check out her archives.
Have a great day!

Hi Jessica -

Thanks for the info. I was reading through the comments and thought maybe you were referring to Janet Reid. She was saying she wasn't Miss Snark, but she does write like her.

I've read a few things on Miss Snark's blog (like you, after she stopped blogging). She certainly has a unique style.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hi Annie -

Too funny! I was over at your blog not 10 minutes ago reading more about the baby signing.

I'll have to pop back over there and see your 7 random facts.

Blessings,
Susan :)
