Friday Round-Up - #216

Phyllis Zimbler Miller guest posted at Joylene Nowell Butler's blog on the subject of producing an ebook. She gives some great tips in an easy-to-digest form.

Writers: Have you considered publishing an ebook? If you have already done so, please share your experience.

Readers: Do you own a Kindle or Nook? Again, please share.

I have considered converting a booklet I wrote to an ebook. It's on my to-do list. :)

My husband has a Kindle; I've recently added a few books to it. Looking forward to reading them.

Have a great weekend,
Karen

I'm definitely considering it! It's a new, interesting market and with the advent of e-readers' popularity, I think it's worth expoloring.

Yes, I'm considering it. As much as I personally prefer holding an actual book as I read, there are Kindles and Nooks everywhere, as well as iPhones and iPads with e-book apps. It's a market worth diving into. :-)

Blessings to you and yours!

I have a Kindle. E-readers are popular. I still love the feel and smell of a book, and the sound of a turning page.

Hi Karen - Producing an ebook is always in the back of my mind. Many authors have done well.

Hi Jess - I think we need to consider all of our options. Traditional publishing is difficult, especially for genres not considered popular.

Hi Janette - Yes, I still like holding a real book, but I love the portability of my Kindle.

Hi Loree - I received my Kindle for a birthday gift. I've been delighted with it from day one.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hi Susan .. no I haven't and I've only read one ebook (short) on the screen - I'm not geared up yet - but by year end should be ..

I can't comment on Joylene's blog at the moment either .. I have to get to the library and don't seem to get there that often ..

Helpful tips though .. cheers Hilary
