Friday Round-Up - #231 - New Genre Alert?

Mary Keeley blogs at Books and Such about a possible new genre for CBA - Baby Boomer Lit. As authors/writers, it's interesting to look at trends and decide if they're something we might consider.

Writers: How did you decide on your present genre?

Readers: What's your favorite genre and why?

Have a blessed weekend!

"Baby boomer lit" sounds interesting! I was born in 1947, so I guess I would fit the target audience.

My favorite genre is probably more one of style, and that would be character-driven, relationship drama. I read a lot of historical and contemporary both, but always look for a more literary or "up market" style as I believe it's sometimes called.

Hi Carol -

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

You'd probably enjoy books by Mary DeMuth and Patty Hickman. My own book, The Moses Conspiracy, crosses genre lines to include "relationship drama."

Blessings,
Susan :)
