Mary DeMuth posted an excellent article on her, "So You Wanna Be Published," blog. I don't often see the basics of sentence structure addressed, so I jumped on this one. I hope you find it helpful.
Last Sunday, my pastor told a story about the small village of Wauconda, located in the Midwest. Back in 1989, an atheist challenged their 40-year tradition of commemorating Christmas with crosses on the town's two water towers. Mary Mangan (age 18) and Patrick Mangan (age 17) were so inspired by the story that they wrote a children's novel. Mary's cousin, Kevin Sullivan Mooney, provided the illustrations. Pop over to their website for more information.
Have a super weekend!
Great job and I'm looking forward to reading the next 100 posts!
Wow, I just passed my 100th post too. Congrats!
You always have interesting things to share and I'm glad you decided to do this blog.
Are you talking about the N-V, N-V structure? I saw that article. Now every time I write I've got it in my head. LOL
Hi Sarah -
Thanks for the compliment and for following Christian Writer/Reader Connection.
Hi Jessica -
Congratulations on reaching your 100-post milestone! Thanks for your kind words. One of the best things about doing the blog is meeting new friends. :)
Yes, Mary did an excellent article on the N-V, N-V structure.
We're in the middle of a storm. I'm looking forward to getting some work done around the house tonight. Maybe later, I'll sit down with a nice cup of tea.
My husband likes to drink herbal tea with lime and honey.
I hope you were able to sit down, relax and have some!
Hi Jessica -
Sounds yummy. I found a camomile tea that is soothing before bedtime. Unfortunately, I got so involved on the computer that I forgot to have any. LOL.
I did listen to a Christmas concert on Christian TV with Michael Phelps. It's the first time I heard him. He has a fabulous voice.
Have a blessed day!
Oh, I've never heard of him.
Sounds like you had a lovely evening. :-)
Hi Jessica -
Yes, we enjoyed the show. He sang my all-time favorite Christmas songs, "Mary, Did You Know," and "O Holy Night."
Congratulations on your milestone. For some reason, I can't get the link to the website to work. And I would like to see it.
Hi Quiet Spirit -
Thank you! I'm having a grand old time blogging and meeting new friends.
I just tried the link, and it didn't work for me. At the moment, I don't have time to check it out. You can probably find it through Google. (Funny, the link worked when I wrote the post. Another adventure in techy land!)
I apologize for the snafu. Will try to get to it before Christmas.
