Friday Round-Up - #8

The price of gasoline dropped to $3.79.9. This is a welcome change, especially with the writers' conference starting August 7th.

Congratulations to author, Camy Tang, featured on this blog earlier in the week. She announced the sale of a novel to Steeple Hill.

Adams Media, which produces the anthology, A Cup of Comfort, is looking for submissions. You can get details at: www.cupofcomfort.com/share.htm

Another popular anthology, Chicken Soup For The Soul, is also looking for stories. www.chickensoup.com/form.asp?cid=possible_books

For those of you who write poetry, I discovered a site called, Utmost Christian Writers. www.utmostchristianwriters.com/markets/poetry-markets.php

Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Susan -

I've only been writing seriously for a year and have yet to be published, but hopefully soon! I'm interested in both fiction and nonfiction. I'm glad I came across your blog and look forward to reading more!

You always present such great links. Thanks Susan, you make my days much easier :)

Have a wonderful weekend as you prepare for that conference!

I put gas in the car today $3.85 per gallon and I was simply giddy!

Hi Sarah -

We all started exactly where you are - new to the publishing world.

There are many blogs and websites offering helpful tips on writing. I hope you find Christian Writer/Reader Connection helpful.

If you have any burning questions, please share them. I'll do my best to answer or point you in the right direction.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Hi Annie -

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you'll tell your friends about this blog.

Although I'm far from an expert, I have learned a thing or two. Many writers have shared their knowledge with me, so I want to bless others.

"See" you at your blog.

Blessings,
Susan :)
