Note: I used the Shakespeare reference because of the famous, "To be or not to be," quote. Don't laugh. It's hard to find a graphic to illustrate passive verbs. LOL!
A Facebook friend alerted me to this site, dealing with social media. This article is written by Jesse Stanchak about using social media to promote your books.

Thanks for pointing me to the Jesse Stanchak article, Susan. Feb. 28 was my first Twitter anniversary, and next week is the first birthday for my blogs.
Have a great weekend!
Jean
Susan, thanks for sharing information and links to these articles. Passive verbs are tricky and I need Cec's insight.

LOVE this but am a bit ticked at the bad press my friend the passive voice receives. Hey, at the right place, the right time, she SHINES!!!!
Have a great weekend, Susan!!

Oh, yes, I'm on my way to Cec's article. Passive verbs are my most nasty writing habit. Thanks, Susan.
Sunny Weekend,
Jen
I like that Mr. Murpey isn't unhappy with verbs of being when they cause you to move on with the story. He makes a lot of sense.
Hi Patti -
How do you communicate past tense without the passive verb? Was and were cannot be totally banished!
Blessings,
Susan :)
