I'm running into a tension gap I need to fix in mine as I edit. Going to fill that it!

Hi Wendy -
ReplyDeleteYes, maintaining tension is something I find difficult as well. Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Susan :)
I tend to jump from subject to subject sometimes, which leaves a gap for the reader... I am learning to knit my pieces together :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about the gaps in my manuscript - you tell me! lol I think I need to work on tension. And eliminating contractions, of course.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Karen
I'll have to give this one some thought, Susan! Happy early blogoversary & God bless!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan...I start really good and have a great ending...but it's that in between.....I often hit a roadblock to keep the story flowing....
ReplyDeleteHi Marja - Oh yes, I know about rabbit trails. It helps me to jot down those random thoughts for a future piece.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen - LOL! Since your manuscript is also my manuscript, we'll have to check for those gaps together. :)
Hi Maria - Thanks! I hope you'll visit next months. There will be many guest posts and a bunch of giveaways.
Hi Sarah - The dreaded middle can be propped up by a good subplot or two. That's what worked for me. :)
Blessings,
Susan
I'm not sure if I leave gaps, but I have to keep working to make sure each character's voice is distinct. Maybe that's a kind of gap!
ReplyDeleteHi Dena -
ReplyDeleteI have to watch out they don't all sound like me!
Blessings,
Susan :)
