That is certaibly something to try. I am sure the character will ring much more true if you ask yourself these questions and think like him/her.

Well...yes. Since I write mostly first person, I do often put myself in my skin! At times, I wish I could jump out of it for awhile...
All the time. Its fun to live your life through your characters. there's evewn a bit of me in the villains too.
