  7. I'll check out Author Haven - always good advice there. I think most of us struggle with titles. I know my current WIP is titled "Current WIP"! Have a good weekend Susan!

  8. Thanks, Susan. I often come up with the title and then write the story, guess I'm a little backwards. Enjoy your weekend too!

  11. Hi Jan -

My book, "The Scent of Fear," was called, "Book 2," long after the first draft was finished. :)

  12. Hi Carla -

I had the title of my first book before writing it, but it got changed about half-way through. The second and third books took more brainstorming. I'm sure those titles will change.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  13. Hi Cindy -

I'm always amazed how the Lord brings the right information at the right time.

  14. Hi Jill -

I also consider my writing a ministry. Since I still write non-fiction, my heart is always thinking of a story's redemptive value.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  15. Kathryn had some very interesting ideas about ministry. I agree with all that she says. I'm glad she received an offering. Time for her to think in new ways.

  16. Hi Nancy -

In a sense our entire lives are a ministry. How we live and work speaks volumes about our faith.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  17. I consider my writing a ministry as I tithe twenty percent to my church and to missionaries. I give an additional ten percent to charities like Childrens Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and Susan Komen Race for the Cure.

I don't use any G-dmans or F-bombs in my books. No exploitation of kids either. Other than that, I'm free to write.

  18. Hi Stephen -

It's wonderful that you're using the proceeds from your book to benefit so many.

I always appreciate clean books with no profanity.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  19. Susan:
I try to approach my writing as a ministry. I even have business cards carrying the title, Quiet Spirit Writing Ministry.
Thank you for sending us there to read Kathryn's thoughts.

  20. Hi Quiet Spirit -

My writing started out with a ministry mindset, and I'm determined to keep it there. I don't want to ever forget the reason I'm traveling this path.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)
