  1. Oooh, good links. Thanks! If I feel stuck on my writing, I usually read over what I've already written and force myself to move on, even if it's a scene I end up deleting. It gets me back into the groove and I can usually go on from there :) Have a great weekend!

  3. I have three as a matter of fact. One is to pose a delimma to Blogdom and ask for their help. Then check the comments to see what solutions they have proferred.

I did not know you were a poet as well as everything else. Thanks for sharing with us. My poetry skills are still in their infancy. Thanks for the inspiration. There is so much creativity her in Blogdom and I appreciate the help and support I receive here.

  6. Hi Stephen -

Yes, I've seen your posts requesting assistance. Brainstorming is a great way to get ideas.

I've dabbled in poetry, but I'd hardly call myself a poet. The whole technical thing with poetry leaves me scratching my head. Occasionally, I'll write something from the heart, most often during stressful times.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  7. I pray, cry, read blogs, pray some more, and ask for help from friends.

    Thanks for the links!

  8. Gosh, Susan, I don't usually have a problem with writer's block. Usually I just write on what's happening in my own life, from day to day...things I'm doing, seeing, planning, etc.

Just wish there were more hours in the day to write even more!

I do want to thank you for always visiting my blog and commenting. I appreciate your visits so much. Sincerely, Susan

  10. Hi Susan -

I do much the same on the Susie's Sandbox blog.

Writers' block doesn't strike me often. I have more problems with staying motivated.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  11. I love the Emerson quote. It does inspire me. Also, the application of the beads is so nostalgic. I can just sense the peace and creativity of that craft. Very good list from Jean.

  12. Yes. I grit my teeth and stab at the keys. One word at a time.

When the page limit is met, I can get up.

    Great links!!

    Sigh. Back to the cave!!

  17. My method of overcoming writers block is I put on some classical music and I hand write in a notebook scenes. I do not stop to edit. It really works for me.

  18. Hi Rita -

Thanks for sharing your method of breaking writers block.

I've used journaling to get the creative juices flowing, but haven't tried classical music. :)

    Blessings,
    Susan

I use writing prompts and journaling as ways to break the writer's bloc.
