Tiffany Colter invited guest blogger, Rachel Mendel to discuss writing for newspapers.

Lynnette Labelle lists some commonly misused words. Which ones trip you up?

Have a fabulous weekend!

  2. I'll be checking out those links. Thanks, Susan.

I love it when I find a misused word - like meat instead of meet. It gives me a chance to laugh out loud at myself. Because, how silly!

  6. Hi Heather -

Even though I'm a fast typist, my brain sometimes gets ahead of my fingers. The end result can be hilarious. It's also a good reason for the editing process.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  7. Hi Terri -

The entire month evaporated like dew in the bright morning sun.

I didn't get the school secretary position - back to square one. Otherwise, I'm fine.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  8. Can't wait to see the list of misused words. Hope I'm not guilty!!!

Hey, if you have time, stop by my place today. I posted late but really want to share a poem by Mary Oliver called, "Lead" in light of the Gulf oil spill.

On a brighter note, Happy Weekend!

    Blessings,
    Patti

  9. Lynnette had a great list of misuded words. I know I get confused on some of them. I wish there were some universal chart we could check before we post. Many times we don't even know we've goofed until it's too late.

  11. Hi Nancy -

Now there's an idea! Why don't we make up a cheat sheet of all the words that give us a problem?

    Have a great weekend.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  21. I'm pretty good when it comes to using the right word, but I tend to be a bit dyslexic when typing and sometimes my brain types the wrong word :-)

    Have a great weekend, Susan.

    Blessings.
